Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

At B.T.C Bodyworks, I specialise in small to medium bodywork repairs. My goal is to provide high quality solutions with a fast turnaround. The quickest way to get a price is to WhatsApp me a few photos of the damage and I'll send you a free, no-obligation quote.

Does my vehicle need to be cleaned when I bring it to my appointment?

Your car does not have to be spotless, however relatively clean is preferable. Don't worry though — I understand your vehicle can collect some dirt on the journey to me.

Why are you faster than a big bodyshop?

Because I work on just one car at a time. Bigger bodyshops often have dozens of cars in the queue, so yours can sit waiting for days before anyone touches it. With me, your repair gets my full, undivided attention from start to finish, which means a far quicker turnaround. I also repair rather than replace wherever possible, which keeps both the cost and the time down.

Can I leave my dashcam on during the repairs?

Unfortunately, all dashcam and audio recording devices need to be switched off before entering the premises. This is in line with the principles of the Data Protection Act under GDPR.

Do you provide windscreen repairs?

No, I don't offer windscreen repairs.

Do you have W/C available for customers?

Yes — there's a toilet on the premises that customers are welcome to use.

What forms of payment do you take?

I accept most cards, bank transfers, cheques and cash, with payment due on completion of the work.

Do you require a deposit?

No, I don't require a deposit. However, if your repair needs new parts ordered in, those will need to be paid for in advance.

Do you do full re-paints?

No — I focus on small to medium repairs, so I don't take on full bodywork jobs of that size.

Do you do restoration work?

No.

Do you have any before and after photos that I can look at?

Yes. All of my before and after photos are available on my social media accounts, linked on my Contact page.

Can you repair cracked alloy wheels?

I'm afraid that's not something I offer — I don't repair cracked alloys or do wheel straightening. I can, however, refurbish the cosmetic finish on alloys.

How soon can I wash my car after the repairs?

Your vehicle needs to be left for 48 hours before being washed. This allows the paint to fully cure.
